CONGRATULATIONS TO THE
EGYPTIAN PEOPLE!
The photo below was taken of me (far left corner) in Cairo in 1978 celebrating President Sadat and the peace agreement.
Several years later, I was in Tel Aviv when President Sadat was killed.  Everyone wondered, "What will happen in Egypt and to the peace process?"  President Mubarak held that peace.
Today President Mubarak leaves; and Egypt and the Egyptian people and peace will, once more, be well served.

PRESIDENT OBAMA'S INAUGURATION
January 20, 2009; Washington, DC

Stayed near Annapolis with the Snead family.  Monday and Tuesday were productive and cold.  Monday morning, working as field producer for the Gregory Mantell Show in DC for the inauguration,  I picked up press passes downtown.  It went without a hitch.  Yea-a-a!  Monday's memories are of packed subways with passengers in jeans and evening gowns -- sometimes at the same time, metro tickets adorned with President Obama's face, metro center with Grand Hyatt exit, cozy restaurants with glitzy movie stars, huge celebration parties with so many people huddled together, so much excitement.  Streets were filled with large vans transporting dignitaries and movie stars.  I saw few limos.  Sirens screamed continuously.   I met Greg Mantell at Starbucks at Grand Hyatt.  Soon the stars arrived ready for interviews.  It went well.  Interviews included Tony Goldwyn, Susan Serandan, Dana Delaney, William Baldwin.  I carved out interview space.  When not filming, David was full of jokes and fun.  We laughed a lot.  From there we traveled by warm taxi to The Creative Coalition Ball where photographers were staked out.  We carved out our space next to CNN and ET.  That's where Greg got the delightful Anne Hathaway interview and other great interviews.

In addition to book industry professionals, I met film industry professionals.  I visited Time Warner Studios for a television interview with Greg Mantell.  His show, the Gregory Mantell Show, is shown on Time Warner cable in California and New York.  It also will be shown on YouTube.  The airing is with Time Warner Cable in New York should be in the first week of September

Now I am in touch with a well known screen writer John Rainey.  I plan to work with him to rewrite my film script, perfecting it for the screen!  Patricia Adora Clark Taylor

The writing of Unveilings, a Desert Journey began in the northern Italian seaside town of Tirrenia in 1973, the year of the first Saudi/Arab Oil Embargo.  Three years later, in 1976, the writings move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and later to Tel Aviv, Israel.  One might say the writings were following the money

Over the years, as Middle East events evolve, including 9/11, author Patricia Adora Clark Taylor develops her Middle East story, transporting the reader into exotic places filled with memorable people.

As events highlight realities one sees clearly through the prism: it's all about the oil; it's all about the money.  Later, on Capitol Hill, it's all about keeping the oil flowing -- whatever the price.

Finally, looking through the prism, the author confronts her own realities...
